THE DREAMCATCHER FOUNDATION COVID-19

Chicago, Apr. 19, 2020---During this time we hope that everyone is taking the proper precautions to stay safe and healthy during this difficult time. The Dreamcatcher Foundation is still continuing its efforts with emergency housing, gifts cards, essential items, and emergency contact number for those in desperate need. While we cannot be out physically we hope that these efforts will offer some sort of relief during these difficult time. Also during this time, we are connecting with individuals via social media, holding a Facebook live with Brenda Myers-Powell entitled “Wisdom Wednesday” where we speak on topics that relate to victims and current trends. Being able to reach out and share with one another is how we all stay connected during this time.

Our goal is to create an environment (during COVID-19) in which victims of human trafficking can be empowered, educated, and self-confident. The Dreamcatcher Foundation (TDF), a 501c3 tax exempt nonprofit, is a survivor founded, survivor driven, and survivor focused agency fighting to end human trafficking in Chicago and its surrounding suburbs. Our not-for-profit organization works to prevent the sexual exploitation of at-risk youth and helps them find confidence and stability through education, empowerment, and active prevention.
